After manager Steve Fey had read the riot act on Saturday Manor Farm turned in a competent, if not convincing performance, on Tuesday night which was enough to defeat a spirited Keynsham Town by 2 goals to nil.
With Tavis Carter looking sharp out wide early on and Scott Marshallsea making his debut the home side knocked the ball around confidently.
Farm couldn't make the early breakthrough though to steady the nerves and Keynsham edged themselves into the game without really threatening Rich Fey in the home goal.
Farm eventually made their pressure tell ten minutes before the interval with a very good goal. Left back Lee Marshall's measured cross field pass was flicked on to Tavis Carter who cut back inside his marker before whipping in a perfect cross that found Kye Thomas ghosting into the box and he swept in a first time effort past the helpless Amin Jones in Keynsham's goal.
Kye Thomas turned provider on the stroke of halftime when his slide rule pass put James Peart through on goal and although his first shot was half saved by Jones the ball bounced off of Peart and rested in the back of the net to give the half-time score a more realistic look.
The second half proved to be quite non eventful with the visitors threatening without delivering and Steve Fey was just happy to gain the three points which took Farm back into the top half of the table.
