Godalming battled hard in this opening day fixture against a determined Pyrford side. With a mixture of young debutants and some older experienced players, Godalming held their own at half time going into the break at 0-0.
the second half started badly with a goalkeeping error allowing a direct free-kick to open the scoring and then Pyrford started to assert their superiority and ran out deserved winners
