A much improved display from the reserves resulted in another defeat - this time by the unlikiest of margins, going down to a mis-hit shot that was headed in, in the 88th minute.

Godalming started with a new look forward line, Jason Butcher and Phil Melling both looking strong yet it was the two previous strikers who were pushed into left and right midfield who bagged the goals. An opportunitic strike from Ollie Mills gave the home team an early lead and despite being pegged back almost immediately, Josh Ackroyd again put Godalming ahead. However conceding two late goals in the half Godalming went into the break 2-3 down. Ackroyd with a fine second goal restored the status quo early in the second half and it stayed that way until the late late winner. Alex Barclay made a fine debut in centre midfield and with missing players due back this week, Godalming will be looking to pick up points as we enter the second stage of the season.
